So, Yuli's idea on the other thread was to start making events on the forum to make it a bit more lively again and I think its an awesome idea. Also, might as well say it now, Decadus' idea on dA was to promote the forum on our FT fanarts to try and generate more traffic.Which I also think its awesome.

So I open this thread to generate ideas and vote on event dates, maybe have a day for a couple? I always liked that on other fandoms but don't know how its decided... I only remember lots of fanart and fanfics were done for that week, and it was a special and fun event xD Or have those awards we wanted to handle out once xD

Also, we need to make sure it does not interfere with the prize making for the contest much, for those of us that are making them.

Anyway, Yuli's idea was sort of a fanfic/fanart contest. I thought we could do parades ones too, those are always fun

But we need more ideas to keep this events going so, come one people, get creative

Also, anyone agree on making a Bets/Dares thread?

Events I propose:

- What luna said: Day/week for a certain couple
- Day/Week for Romance Tail Shipping (EST shall always contribute to this)
- ORT day or something - A day dedicated to the ORT

Bet/dare thread sounds cool but how and what do you dare a person on the otherside of the world? :P

It's anyway you want to, you can gave music, a lot of pics and moments of your pair, gifs, emoticons, in center and going down, poems/ bits of songs/figures/ anything you want, bu it needs some sort of movement...

Hmmmm....... Well its day where everyone will come. Maybe not the whole day but they will come. A day dedicated to the ORT family where you ust look back and remember the good times, how you met the family and all that. Sound too nostalgic? xD We can post fan arts and fanfics of ourselves. That kinda stuff. Talk about all our ships we started out with. The influences other members had on our ships and ourselves. Just have crazy fun and throw a party xD Ok that sounds like a good byte party -____________- Damn.

oh wow this sounds cool! i like the idea of dedicating a week or two for certain FT couple, but there are a few considerations

1) who are the FT couples? (should include the less popular ones too, and those like Graylu and Lolu and such..)
2) what are the dates to dedicate to them? and how do we decide?
3) should we have a competition to attract DA users?
- prizes? >.<

We could for example do events for the standard celebrations, like:

- Halloween Oct 31st
- Christmas Dec 24, 25 and 26
- Valentine's Day Feb 14th

etc, etc.

But we could also organize ONE event every two weeks. Like for example.

Week 43: RT shippings: fanfic and fanart. Winner receives an award in the Hall of Fame or something like that
Week 45: FT crack shipping: fanfic, fanart, parade, ANYTHING. 1st, 2nd and 3rd receive gold, silver and bronce.
Week 47: FT ships
Week 49: Draw Super Luna, write fanfic about Super Luna

etc, etc.

Get it?

Also, we could do parades. Create a special section for parades and who manages to get it the most livel wins.

Bets is also possible. Creata betting thread. Think up punishments for the losers and prices for the winners.

GIVE THE FORUM A SPECIAL DESIGN ON SPECIAL DAYS!!!

We could create a contest of Banners for each of those events. Gets people to come, and it would also be fun!

1 event every 2 weeks seems like a little much :P Could it be 1 event every 3 weeks. If we do them so often then they'll lose their charm (dont know the right word) annd become like a sort of normal thing and not an event.

Christmas is a christian holiday.

As for ORT day, it could be the day the ORT was made?

I also thought of that, and other like Halloween that don't get celebrated in all countries...

we can also hold certain canon-themed events (which are not explored in the manga) like:
a) the day Erza became an S-class
b) when Gajeel realised that Metalicana was gone
c) Makarov's younger days with Bob, Porlyusica, Rob etc
d) the day Freed first met Laxus?

i cant think of anything funny now but it can get creative! people can draw and write stories or even magazine articles about it.. heheh i'm just throwing ideas

I didn't want the day the Original was created since none of us were thre lol, feels too weird XD So I thought the day the crazy started, when it changed to awesome XD day bofeore April 1st.

Well i'm not sure about mothers' day but New Years depends on which calender a country is using and the calender used most internationally is the Gregorian Calender in which New Years Day is January 1st. But if your country is using a religious calender or a calender marking their independence or something than the date would change :P If that made sense.

Ok now i'm not sure if these events should be on the exact date of the event irl because might have to go places and such irl so they might not be able to come here.
